There is no central coordination for incoming traineeships. Therefore, you must inquire about your traineeship with the department in question. Erasmus students
A few courses, offered to exchange students, include project work. Enrolling in such a course requires a formal exchange agreement between Linköping University and your home university. You must also be nominated for exchange studies.Placement at the University hospital
If there is an agreement between Linköping University and your institution:Your coordinator will let you know how to proceed with an application, or you can contact the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at international@medfak.liu.se.

If there is no agreement between Linköping University and your institution:
It is sometimes possible to offer medical students a placement as an elective student for shorter periods, usually 4-6 weeks. These placements are organised by the County Council of Östergötland. Students need a C1 level of Swedish at the time of application.

It must be added that the number of places is very limited. Also, it is not possible to come as an Erasmus placement student.
For students from other programmes, such as within nursing, occupational therapy and physiotherapy, we regret to inform you that due to a shortage of clinical placements, we are unable to receive students, neither as free movers nor as Erasmus placement students
