My ongoing research includes the project Healthy old people (HOLD) where the overall aim is to analyse the mental health, biological stress and well-being of older people aged 70–80 years after the pandemic and other crises and to follow these aspects into their ageing. Stress can affect different types of morbidity, not least cardiovascular morbidity STRESSHEART, but also other morbidities. In a project, Breaststress, I study stress exposure (cortisol in hair) before breast cancer diagnosis and exposure to various external and internal environmental factors as well as self-perceived stress. I participate in several international collaborative projects, including an ongoing major EU project: EUVABECO (Europe vaccination beyond the covid 19).
