Research
Currently I participate in and conduct nursing research from various aspects. I am involved in a development project on the Fundamentals of Care and its implementation in the nursing program. I have participated in several studies on various aspects of surgical nursing and how nursing can be strengthened in clinical care.
My dissertation work is about how risk factors for cardiovascular disease in women are influenced by the social environment. I have compared risk factors and morbidity for cardiovascular disease in middle-aged women in the twin cities of Linköping and Norrköping. They are two cities of similar size with different social histories, thus representing two different social environments.
Teaching
Presently, I act as an examiner for EOV2, examination in nursing science and behavioral science, and group supervision in semester 2. Examiner for clinical training and seminar in public health science in semester 5. I currently supervise thesis work mainly at the master’s level.
I have worked at Linköping University since 2000. Initially, mainly early in the education, interprofessional learning (IPL), semesters 1 and 2. I have developed and implemented a new curriculum and been responsible for courses. My main tasks as a teacher are group supervision, lectures, seminars, supervision of bachelor’s theses, follow-up of clinical training, and assessment in connection with various forms of examinations.
