Lecturer

I am an assistant lecturer in the Physiotherapy Unit with 33 years of clinical experience in pediatrics and neurology. My research focuses on idiopathic scoliosis and non-surgical treatments, and their impact on health outcomes.

Presentation

I am a teacher at the Unit of Physiotherapy and the examiner for the course 'Physiotherapy as Medical Intervention for Functional Impairments and Disability, 30 credits given during the 4th semester of the physiotherapy program. I teach both basic and in advanced. My area of expertise is in pediatrics, where I also have 33 years of clinical experience. My teaching focus is in neurology and pediatrics.

I have a PhD in idiopathic scoliosis 'Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis,' which primarily includes a randomized controlled trial comparing non-surgical treatments based on their impact on health outcomes, radiological and clinical parameters, and whether adolescents can adhere to the prescribed treatment. The treatments evaluated include nighttime bracing, scoliosis-specific exercises, or active general physical training.
